Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Position: SUE Technician III & IV / Crew Leader

Responsibilities:
- Lead SUE field crews in utility designation and mapping tasks.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced locating equipment, including GPR and electromagnetic tools.

- Ensure all field data is collected accurately and efficiently.

Position: SUE Technician for QLA Test Holes
Location: Chicago, IL, and surrounding areas

About the Role:
ASE is hiring Unskilled SUE Technicians to support our Qualified Level A (QLA) test hole operations. This role involves assisting skilled Technicians with non-destructive excavation processes, operating and maintaining Air Vac trucks, and performing manual tasks to complete test holes to expose existing utilities.
Pay Range:
$20 to $30 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Air Vac trucks and related equipment.
- Perform manual labor, including hand digging test holes and using pneumatic tools.
- Lift and transport materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Follow safety protocols, including attending and contributing to safety meetings.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of work sites, including Temporary Traffic Control (TTC).
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure project goals are met efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. A CDL is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and digging.
- Familiarity with vacuum excavation equipment and tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability for full-time hours with occasional overtime as needed.
- Prior experience in construction, utility locating, or similar fields is a plus.
